Annette Clancy

I am a lecturer in organisational behaviour at UCD School of Business.  Prior to entering academia I was an organisational consultant and worked with over 100 organisations in the private, public and not for profit sectors.  Prior to starting my consulting firm I worked for 12 years in a senior management capacity in the creative industries in Ireland. The overarching theme of my research is emotion in organisations and I use psychodyamic theory to explore what goes on under the surface in organisational life.

I hold a PhD in organisational behavior from the University of Bath where my thesis explored the creative potential of disappointment in organisations.  I also hold an MSc in systemic organisation and management from the University of Sunderland.

I am a member of the International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organisations (ISPSO).
